is like blaming santa and not his elves

 

We’re all to blame

 

They keep controlling us with fear

so we pay our taxes year after year

From New York City to LA

it doesn’t matter how much you pay

 

We’re all to blame

 

Both the rich folks and the poor

are buying bombs for endless war

 

We’re all to blame

 

We’re the elves making all the toys

to drop on little brown girls and boys

 

We’re all to blame

 

From Seattle to Miami Beach

we can’t see peace is within reach

 

We’re all to blame

 

It’s a game and we’re all the pawns

and we bought the board they do the killing on

 

We’re all to blame

 

We like to think that our hands are clean

but we keep fueling the machine

 

We’re all to blame

 

Slavery, war, and genocide

is American history, simplified

 

We’re all to blame
